“I was a little reluctant to have an implant knowing that at my age my bone structure might not be perfect. I had an upper back tooth next to my wisdom tooth crack and break apart. The tooth was removed in pieces making sure nothing remained. Since my bone structure had receded somewhat, bone material was injected in the cavity to encourage new bone growth. After a few weeks the bone structure had actually grown and stabilized enough for the implant. The implant was inserted in place of the missing tooth. This was a simple procedure from my perspective. There was some drilling but no pain whatsoever. After the bone adhered to the implant the new crown was placed on the implant. It all went smoothly. I can’t tell the difference between my own teeth and the implant. It is simply part of my mouth. Three days after the placing of the crown I couldn’t tell when I was chewing on the implant or a normal tooth. It is great; I would have another implant whenever I need one without any hesitation. Great job Dr. AWE. – Thanks for my new tooth.”
